Cat & a Cardigan

I've gotten some flak for wearing this skirt before, and because of that, I haven't worn it in a long time. Imagine my surprise this morning when I reluctantly put it on and felt so good wearing it! I didn't feel self-conscious in the slightest running my errands. I think that's key-- wear what you love. Milton agrees.
Necklace: Forever 21
T-shirt, cardigan, skirt: Gap
Socks: Courtesy of We Love Colors
T-straps: Seychelles
Happy Friday, everyone!

Also, if you have any semi-urgent questions for me, use Formspring so I can get back to you quickly and efficiently. Sometimes questions get lost in the comments and I feel bad when I discover it days later. Peace out.

  1. Flak for THAT skirt? It's lovely ... I don't suppose Gap still has it? I always have an eye out for that length, or only slightly shorter, since it somehow manages to highlight only the *ahem* highlightable portions of my legs, LOL.

  3. @Nutmeg, unfortunately the skirt is from years ago. I see these types of skirts all the time on Etsy though!

  6. @kiddotrue and Nutmeg -I think that because I have a large bottom and wide hips, high-waisted pieces throw people off. I for one love it!

  10. I love this skirt, although I have a similar kind of issue wearing mid cuff length skirts. I think they make my legs look weird. :)

    You look amazing btw, the colours are superb against your skin. :)

  13. Thanks, everyone!
    @Elaine- as long as I'm not skanky Sandy, I'm cool with that! (People used to say I looked like Stockard Channing. I don't know how to feel about that.)
    @Meghan- Yes, yes, and yes!

  14. I agree with everyone - the skirt is great. Being high-waisted, it has the potential to throw off your proportions a little, but the longer cardi balances everything nicely!

    I'm a fan of the brown shirt/necklace combo as well.
