I Will Always Wear Capes

Sweater dress: thrifted
Cape: Tulle Clothing
Pearl collar: vintage
Socks: Sock Dreams
My coworker Jenn took these pictures and she's never even used an SLR camera before! Didn't she do wonderfully? (She also gave me a present of new mascara this morning.) Thank you Jenn! This is the 'backyard' of my workplace... it's nice being able to walk around outside when my bum starts to ache from all the computer time. The great thing about Oregon is the year-round green.

Darin has an interview with the local paper tomorrow about his Etsy shop! We jumped up and down when we heard the news. I'd better clean the kitchen and hide all the drug paraphernalia. No, we don't do drugs and never will. I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention.

Have a lovely Tuesday, everyone!

  1. I'd love to get a cape like this. I work at a store in Fondren (Jackson, MS) that sells Tulle. I can't wait to go back and see if they have these cute little capes! So pretty and vintage.

    love.

  5. This is one of my favourite looks for you, with and without the cape. :-)

The beading is beautiful too...is that part of the dress or a separate necklace?

  13. That dress looks amazing on you and I just love that cape...absolutely adorable:-) Very cool about the paper feature as well. I would just love to run around outside at work and take photos, though I think the students at the high school I work at would think I'm nuts. These turned out so cute!

  14. @Katherine- the collar is separate from the dress... I picked it up at the antique fair in July.

Side note - look at all these comments. And from some heavy hitters. You are growing!

  21. Lovely cape, little red. I, unfortunately, never got the hang of how to wear a cape. I have a long blue one, but how do I carry my purse on the 30 minute walk to work? Either by hand, which is sketchy as I live in an area known for muggings, or under my cape where it is safe, but I end up looking like a hunchback. Maybe I'll stick to coats for now...
