It Never Rains in Bavaria

During a torrential rain storm last night, the little family and I escaped to The Bavarian Haus. This local restaurant is brimming with charm, delicious from-scratch food, warmth, and friendliness. I also like the kid's corner with art supplies and a fish tank, with a cozy seating area with books on hand right beside it.

Upon arrival at home, I changed into my PJs right away for some "Vampire Diaries" (completely ashamed) and reading. I always read "The Chronicles of Narnia" in the weeks before Christmas. It's kismet that the The Voyage of the Dawn Treader film is coming out next Friday! As long as it's not the trainwreck that was Prince Caspian, I'm happy. (Senseless plotlines and war scenes ahoy!) In the meantime, TGIF, and I hope you have the loveliest of weekends.

Cheers,
Louise

  6. I agree. Prince Caspian was a train-wreck, but I still watch it from time to time. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader doesn't open for you until next weekend? It opened here yesterday in both 2D and 3D. I plan on catching it sometime early next week, though I'm not sure which version I'll go for. 3D might be fun :)

The Bavarian Haus looks like such a delight! And, the perfect place to spend a rainy evening. Loving your blouse, btw.

  11. Yes, the movie actually does come out today, but I try to support my local theatre, so I will see it next week! Our theatre has only one screen, homemade caramel corn, and only $6.50 a ticket!

  12. The peter pan collar blouse looks perfect under that dress!

This place looks so cozy (your village in general seems awesome) and the food looks great! I'm going to see the Dawn Treader movie but I'm a bit hesitant after Prince Caspian. I have read those books soooo many times and love them so much. I hate seeing them redone poorly like PC. Oh well, hopefully this one is better!

  13. What a pretty place! A wonderful atmosphere for a rainy night.

When the Pineapple Express hit Tacoma, I got called in to work, and then BF and I had to go food shopping. Our cereal boxes got soaked!

I hope you had a great weekend!

love all your gorgeous vintage-esque photos♥ and i must say that if they butchered Dawn Treader like Prince Caspian [senseless romantic plot twist, anyone?], this girl will be quite upset.
