These photos were taken at the Mount Angel Abbey cemetery during an afternoon walk to the coffee shop at the top of the hill. I probably look too happy and frolicsome for graveyard photos, but I couldn't help it. I liked my colorful ensemble and it was lovely outside! The entire town Mount Angel is basically a small mountain (hence Mount Angel), and the monastery happens to be at the top. Residents of the town constantly walk up and down for some exercise. Several Russian Orthodox people live here, and I love seeing the women in their beautiful flowy dresses and head-coverings as they walk the hill.
When I came home, I let the chicks play in the front yard for a while, enjoying the grass (albeit squishy grass) under my bare feet. Right now the chickens resemble pimply teenagers... just an awkward phase. We're building a chicken coop for them in April!
Love to you!
