Red leather gloves: Gap
Cardigan: Gap
Charcoal tights: TJ Maxx
Boater Hat: Forever 21
T-Strap shoes: Seychelles "Duchess"

I purchased this romper from the Goodwill in early summer. I was nervous to wear it because I had heard from so many people, friends and bloggers alike, that curvy girls should not wear rompers. To that I say, "Faugh!" Who says what is flattering? Who makes these silly fashion rules? This blog has helped me gain so much confidence in my sartorial choices and my overall heart. To my readers, I say a huge "Thank you." I know that my choices aren't necessarily what you would choose for yourself, and isn't that what fashion is about? Thank you for visiting me everyday and just accepting me for who I am... or at least for what I wear.
XOXO,
Louise

I have been wanting to wear a romper for the longest time but I have a pretty well endowed booty and haven't even tried one on. But I think I just might! You look adorable.
ReplyDeleteyou are adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't even notice it was a romper, I thought it was a super cute dress! Incredible color combo here, and your blog is just so fun&lovely!
ReplyDeleteHey Lou!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I'm intrigued by the effect of the bright cardigan, which creates a slimming and geometric contrast to the romper
If you have a sec, could you drop by my blog and check out my recent post on men, body image and media standards? I think you'll find the article an interesting read, and it's somewhat relevant to your own blog-commentary on fashion, self-confidence and real beauty.

I'd love to hear what you think!
You know what's funny? It's almost NOT a romper. At least, it doesn't really look like one. It almost looks like a dress, which is kinda cool.
ReplyDeleteI admit, I own a romper, but I wear it to sleep in :)
You look amazing, as always! I love the color of your cardigan, and that boater hat is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the charcoal with the bright pops of color! It's refined and funky.
ReplyDeleteGreat look. At first I didn't think it was a romper, but you look great in it! I like the color of your cardigan as well! :)

ReplyDeleteThis is the best, Louise! You changed my mind quite a bit on rompers...I had just decided the other day, after seeing yet another poor fashion decision, that they just couldn't be made to work. You prove me wrong!

I love this look. I never thought I'd say this about a romper, but it's very elegant! Love the black boater hat, too.
ReplyDeleteLove this romper, curvy girls CAN wear rompers and look fabulous in them, and I'm not just saying that as a curvy girl myself, I just think curves look gorgeous in rompers.

I really like rompers! Screw the rules, something this fun to wear shouldn't be subject to silly rules. You look so flippin' cute, I love this!
