A hat should be taken off when you greet a lady
and left off for the rest of your life.
Nothing looks more stupid than a hat.

It's a rainy and cold day here in Mount Angel. I am ready to watch Anne of Green Gables and eat popcorn. What's your favorite rainy-day activity besides stuffing soggy leaves in your neighbor's car?

I am gearing up for a trip to the coast this weekend. I can't wait! The Oregon coast is my favorite of all coasts; dark, brooding, and mysterious. Perfect poetry material. (And photo material!)

  1. I was really hoping to see some super shiny watches hanging inside that trench coat of yours. Sadly I was disappointed. And also, Im jealous that you are going to the coast because I want to go too. Once we went and it was fun.

  2. Oooh! I like the new header! Love the look :) That hat is beautiful!

  3. Ohh man I can't believe you thrifted that coat! It's tops :) i'd say my favorite rainy day activity is baking and reading and snuggling in bed!

  4. Your comment on my blog made me laugh out loud :P thanks kitten ...oh I LOVE the hat so so cute. I love a little pin up girl in an outfit. Cute blog xx

  5. love the new header love.
you look beautiful as always. ( i know i always say that..but i mean it.)
i got those shoes and i really wanted to like them but the husband told me to take them back.. :(
BUT. you are rocking them. i love how you styled them with a sweet it a little "pop" to the outfit...

ps. i love love the hat & anne of green gables.

  8. this looks like the most beautiful sidewalk! and your little fascinator/hat is sooo pretty! love it all so much!

  9. I love these photos! What an awesome hat (& that quote is awesome hehe)! Oregon is actually one of the top places on my "to see" list. I'd love to see the coast and go to Portland. Have fun!

  10. Sometimes I think you are just straight out of another time and place and I LOVE it! SO CHARMING. I am way overdue for an Anne of Green Gables marathon and I would have to add Sound of Music in there, too!

  14. Great outfit and great photos! You look oh so cosy. I used to work with a young gent who would always take his hat off to greet a lady. I thought it was cute, especially as he was only about 25.
